Grandpa T & Grandma Rosemary Visit

Grandpa T and Grandma Rosemary drove down to visit from Montana. The boys all enjoy listening to stories read to them by Grandpa T! We had lots of fun during their week-long visit - playing outside and going for walks & doing crafts that Grandma Rosemary brought. We also celebrated two birthdays (see the next two posts).
The grandparents were also able to take a new family photo for us - everyone's squinting in the beautiful Colorado sun.

Florida Vacation

We recently traveled to Jacksonville, FL for the Burch-Gregg Family Reunion. We had many adventures flying there and back with all 6 of us! We flew on Jonah's actual birthday - July 14 - we had a small celebration before we left and also celebrated with delicious cupcakes the day after we arrived. We had a wonderful time while we were there visiting with relatives and getting to know some new family members. We made many trips to the beach and pool and enjoyed visiting with all of the family (see photo below).

The highlight of the trip was the "Light Saber Dinner Dance" - we all dressed up in Star Wars related costumes and had a blast. Tom was Jabba, Debbie was Padme, Jack was a Clone Trooper, Adam was Darth Vader, Jonah was Yoda, and Catherine was a Jawa. Many friends loned us costumes, masks & light sabers to make our outfits possible. See what you think of the photos:

Here's Catherine after the party dressing up with a hat - she loves to wear hats!

Now we're preparing for Tom & Jack's birthday's, a visit from more relatives, and a trip to the DC/VA Beach area in the next month before school starts - what a whirlwind!

4th of July

We had a wonderful 4th of July with Doc Sue and our friends the Cannons who were here visiting. We had a picnic, a barbecue, a visit to the United States Air Force Academy, and finished the day with fireworks at the Air Force Academy. Even Catherine enjoyed the fireworks with comments of "Oh" and "Ooo" - she also enjoyed laying her head on "NahNah's" (Jonah's) shoulder. Here are two photos of the Torkelson & Cannon families. We hope that you all had a happy 4th of July as well!
